It’s the End of the Road for Houston Calls

Published by richleigh at 7:50 pm under Rock Music Edit This

Houston Calls - A Collection of Short StoriesNew Jersey powerpop band Houston Calls has decided to call it a day, and will play its final show at School of Rock, South Hackensack, New Jersey, on August 29th.

The band originally formed in 2003, after six years things have sadly come to an end though, and the band will soon be no more.

Founding member and original bassist Jarrett Seltzer left the band back in December 2008, with guitarist Jose Lopez kicked out of the band just a couple of weeks later in January 2009. The band has carried on since then with Dan Diaz of Red Light Green Light on guitar, and the band has since gone through two bassists also, with Jason Jaksetic having filled in for a couple of months, and Josh Starry having filled the bassist’s position since April 2009. It’s now the end of the road for Houston Calls though, and the world has lost another excellent band.

Best of luck to all of Houston Calls’ members, and I’m sure that they’ll all achieve fantastic success in whatever they decide to do next.
