Anvil, Billy Talent, The Blackout, Buckcherry and Dream Theater have all been added to the bill for Download 2009. They’ll therefore be joining the other bands already confirmed, and be taking to the Donnington Park stage between June 12th and June 14th.

Download 2009 is really shaping up to be something rather special, and as more bands are announced the line-up just keeps getting better and better.

Def Leppard and Slipknot have already been announced as two of the festivals headliners, with the third and final headlining band to be named on Monday. Monday is going to be a very exciting day in rock, and there’ll no doubt be many metal fans scouring the web for news on Monday to find out exactly who the final headliner shall be.

Could the third and final headliner perhaps be Blink 182? It’s certainly very possible.

No Doubt is to appear on Gossip Girl on May 11th, with the band performing a cover of Adam and the Ants ‘Stand and Deliver’. The news has been announced at No Doubt’s official website , and it’s certainly very exciting to hear that No Doubt is becoming so active again.

The band is currently working on a new studio album, and although no release date has yet been set; I’m sure that when it is released, it’ll be something truly special. It’s to be the band’s first album since ‘Rock Steady’ in 2001, and all eyes will most certainly be on No Doubt to see what the band can come up with after such a long time away from the studio.

No Doubt will be heading out on tour in May, with special guests Paramore, and The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash also all alternating on the bill and appearing at selected dates.

U2’s Spiderman musical is to hit Broadway early next year, with music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge. Julie Taymor is to direct, and the previews will begin in January 2010 (reports Newsday).

The idea of a U2 Spiderman musical sounds very odd, and I’ve no doubt that it will be; I’m sure a lot of people will go and see this one out of curiosity alone though, and who knows whether or not they’ll be entertained by what they see.

The Spiderman musical has the potential to be horrible, there’s also a chance that it might be quite good though; there’s certainly a lot of Spiderman material to draw upon, and the musical may well leave us pleasantly surprised.

Time shall only tell as to how the Spiderman musical turns out, and all will be revealed when it hits Broadway next year.

The band’s second album ‘Common Dreads’ is due out in May 2009, and for those that liked the first album; I’m sure that the second will appeal also.

‘Antwerpen’ is a track taken from the ‘Common Dreads’ album, and having downloaded it for myself I can certainly say that this is a track that is well worth owning. Browsing through the Hot Topic website earlier today I noticed that there are some absolutely amazing Paramore t-shirts available for both men and women. I’m a big fan of the band, but I have to say that the t-shirts available to women are actually far nicer than those that are made for men. The men’s t-shirts aren’t bad, but for women there’s a far greater selection and I just feel that the designs are of far higher quality.

Here’s the Paramore men’s t-shirt that I thought was pretty cool; it’s a bit busy and I’m not sure I’d feel entirely comfortable wearing it, it’s quite cool nonetheless though and I’m sure that this is a men’s Paramore t-shirt design that would appeal to many.

I quite like the pink Paramore logo, it works well with the white of the t-shirt, and I do think the ‘newspaper’ print style of the t-shirt works pretty well, I do feel that there might be a little too much going on with the t-shirt though and this is therefore something that puts me off a little. I don’t think I’d wear it myself, but if I saw it on someone else I’d probably think it looked pretty cool, and of the men’s Paramore t-shirts this is most definitely the best one.

As I said before; for women there is a far greater selection of Paramore t-shirts though, and these two are the absolute pick of the bunch.

Both of these women’s designs I feel are excellent, they’re fantastic tees and I’m sure that Hot Topic does a roaring trade with these ones. Hot Topic also offers an excellent Paramore Hoodie for women, and if you like the tees then there’s a good chance that you’ll love the hoodie also.

Some bands have some absolutely fantastic merchandise to offer, and it must be said that Paramore is most definitely one of those bands. It’s always brilliant to find t-shirts of such exceptional quality, and I’ve no doubt that there are many happy people walking around sporting these t-shirts right now. Paramore is a brilliant band with magnificent merchandise to match.
