Pete Doherty’s Grace/Wastelands Solo Album is Soon to be Released

Pete DohertyPete Doherty is to release his debut solo album ‘Grace/Wastelands’ on March 16th 2009 through Parlophone Records in the UK. The album will then be released in the US on March 24th, and in America the album is to be released through Astralwerks.

The album has been produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Kaiser Chiefs), and was recorded in Autumn 2008 at Olympic Studios, London. Doherty has collaborated with such artists as Graham Coxon, Dot Allison, and his fellow Babyshambles band mates for this one, and it’s sure to be a cracker.

‘Last of the English Roses’ will be the album’s first single release, and will hit the shelves throughout the UK on March 9th.

A solo album from Pete Doherty has been a long time coming, and it’s good to finally hear that a solo release will soon be available. It was recorded over the course of a month of sessions in London, and I have full faith in Pete Doherty’s ability to pull off something special with this one. He knows he has a lot of fans out there, and although you can’t impress everyone always; hopefully Pete Doherty will impress the vast majority with ‘Grace/Wastelands’, and the album will put a smile on the face of many.

Throughout the years, Pete Doherty has often impressed with his work with both The Libertines and Babyshambles, and hopefully now he’ll be able to prove himself as a solo artist also.

The following is the full tracklist for the Grace/Wastelands album:

1. Arcadie
2. Last of the English Roses
3. 1939 Returning
4. A Little Death Around The Eyes

6. Through The Looking Glass
