Amy Winehouse Back to BlackAmy Winehouse is due to appear in a Norwegian court on January 12th in order to appeal drug charges filed against her during 2007. The singer was allegedly caught in possession of 7 grams of marijuana whilst with husband Blake Fielder-Civil in Bergen on October 18th 2007, and will appear in court in order to appeal against a 500 euro fine.

The appeal was originally scheduled to take place in March 2008; the trial was postponed however at the request of Amy Winehouse’s lawyer.

Police prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen had the following to say whilst speaking with the Associated Press: “She is the one who appealed, so that makes it her appeal,” adding that “Often, if you don’t appear at your own appeal hearing, then the court will dismiss the appeal.”

So the date has been set, Amy Winehouse is all set to appear in court on January 12th, and a decision will be made as to the outcome of the singer’s appeal.
