Katy Perry announced on her blog today that she’s not engaged to Travis McCoy after all. The NY Daily News had yesterday broken the story that the couple had become engaged, but Katy Perry’s blog today suggests otherwise.
“You should fact check with the source before you spread worldwide news like that” says Katy Perry on her blog. The couple were rumoured to have become engaged in the summer when Travis McCoy gave Katy Perry a promise ring, and yesterday the rumour once more spread. Katy Perry is not engaged to Travis McCoy though, and with her blog she wishes all a ‘Merry Christmas!’.
Katy Perry is thankful of the free press, the story of the engagement is untrue though, and you can read it from the horse’s mouth here .

Rumour has it that Katy Perry and Travis McCoy have become engaged. Travis McCoy, lead vocalist of hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes, apparently kissed Katy Perry with a diamond ring in his mouth whilst the couple were in Paris reports the NY Daily News. Certainly a very unique proposal, and for that you definitely have to give Travis McCoy credit for originality.
The couple have been together for a couple of years now and rumours of their engagement previously came about in the summer when McCoy gave Katy Perry a yellow diamond promise ring. It would seem that the couple are indeed engaged now however, and Katy Perry will surely now have to refrain from kissing anymore girls.
