Coldplay Hoping for Grammy Success
Nominated for seven different awards for the 2009 Grammy Awards; Coldplay will be hoping to win as many as possible in February. Lil’ Wayne has more nominations than anyone with eight, Coldplay are leading the way for the UK however, and all British eyes will therefore be on them come February 8th.
Fourth album ‘Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends’ was released earlier on in 2008, and 2009 could well be the band’s year for winning more awards than ever. Chris Martin and the other three members of Coldplay will no doubt be very happy at having been nominated for seven awards, all that will count for nothing however if the band does not walk away with anything in February.
The band is up for the awards of Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year amongst others, and will have to see off some fierce competition if the awards are indeed to be won.
