Potential Genesis Reform with Peter Gabriel at the Helm

Published by richleigh under Rock Music Edit This

With a Peter Gabriel era Genesis box set due out soon; Genesis is hoping to reunite with Peter Gabriel providing vocal duties. Rolling Stone has spoken with Tony Banks, and he believes that a Genesis reform with Peter Gabriel fronting the band is a definite possibility for the future. He seems to feel that the rest of the band would be up for it, and if Peter Gabriel is ready and willing then a Genesis reunion could well be on the cards.

Phil Collins would provide a sole role of drummer for the band, and Tony Banks believes that he’d definitely be up for doing this. It’s an exciting prospect that Genesis could well reform, reunite, and once more rock; it’d be excellent to see the band back in action, and I’m sure there are many that would love to see this happen.

It’s by no means been confirmed that Genesis is to return with Peter Gabriel, if Tony Banks believes it could happen; that’s good enough for me though, and should the band reunite then there will surely be many happy faces all around the world. With record sales reportedly in the region of 150 million since the band first formed back in 1967, interest would surely be high in a reunited Genesis featuring the fantastic Peter Gabriel providing lead vocals.
