Fall Out Boy to Attempt Radio Interview Record

Published by richleigh at 1:27 pm under Rock Music Edit This

On October 31st 2008; Fall Out Boy band members Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump will be attempting to set a new world record. The record they have set their sights on is that of most radio interviews conducted in a 24 hour period. The record currently stands at 57; Wentz and Stump will therefore be aiming for 58 and will start their Guinness World Record mission at 3am local time in Los Angeles with an interview at Premiere Studios.

It’s an interesting record for the band to be attempting; 58 radio interviews is a lot to get done within a 24 hour period, particularly when you factor in time taken to travel from studio to studio. It’ll sure be a Halloween to remember for Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump; they’ll never have a Halloween quite like this one again, and if they can beat the current Guinness World Record then I’m sure they’ll be doing plenty of celebrating.

It’s not every day that you learn a band is attempting to beat a world record such as this; Fall Out Boy is no ordinary band though, and with the band’s fifth studio album ‘Folie A Deux’ due for release on December 16th; it’s certainly a very novel way of promoting it.
